No data collected

Nothing about you is collected, stored or transmitted.

Stays on your device

Prayer logs, settings and history never leave your phone.

No ads, no analytics

No ad networks, trackers or crash-reporting tools.

Works offline

Prayer times are built into the app. No account needed.

Waqt is a free app for prayer times, the Quran, Adhkar, Qibla and more. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is used.

1

Data we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All data stays on your device.

2

Device permissions

The app asks for a few permissions so features work. Each is used only for the reason below.

Location

To pick prayer times and the Qibla direction for where you are. Never stored or shared.

Notifications

To deliver prayer time alerts, check-in reminders and Adhkar reminders.

Camera

Used only for the Qibla AR (augmented reality) compass feature.

Storage (Android 9 and below)

To read and write backup files you choose to save.

3

Third-party services

Waqt does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting tools. No data is sent to any external server.

4

This website

The prayer times card uses your location only after you select “Use my location” and grant browser permission. Within 110 km of a Maldivian island, your coordinates are matched to the mobile app’s island list in your browser and the times come from its SQLite timetable. For international locations, the website forwards your coordinates to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to identify your city and country, and to timeapi.io to identify your time zone. Those services process the coordinates under their own privacy policies. We do not store your coordinates, include them in request URLs, or log them in our application code. Your theme and language choices are saved only in your browser’s local storage. The website also loads the Dhivehi font from jsDelivr; that provider receives the font request and your IP address.

5

Children's privacy

Waqt does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app is safe for all ages.

6

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
